Hero6 has a Speech Pack

#1 Post by Swift » Sat Apr 01, 2006 4:39 pm

That's right, folks! The Hero6 team has decided to include a speech pack into the game. I'm proud to announce that we've also included a sample below so that you'll know what to expect when the game's finally released. Go hear them now!

I clicked on the link - but it just loaded up as a bunch of garbled text.  I figured it was a zip file, so I right clicked and saved as "H6speech.zip".

It worked.  Now to see and hear it!

Oops. Thanks for letting me know, Bt.

In case you find some files a little too soft, try this.

It's ok. It's meant to be an obvious April Fools joke so that people would laugh and not take offense. It wasn't meant to actually fool anybody. Like Blizzard's jokes.

Not surprised. No, it's still alive and kicking.

I take it your researching capabilities are pretty poor to come out with a comment like that.

I thought it was a nice little good, Swift. It's a pity we couldn't do anything this year due to the forums dying on us like that. Alot of people thought it was the joke... I don't see any laughing.

It's  these kind of happy accidents that makes us even more committed to delivering a quality product for everyone to enjoy. We do apologize for any misunderstanding and hope the prank is taken as what it is, a fun indulgence in an even funnier tradition.

Please try to stay on-topic. I'm sure Swift would rather discuss the Hero6 April Fools joke rather than forum moderation technique. Thanks.

Hero6 is still very much alive; thanks to some very dedicated individuals.  It's had it's problems, I'm sure, but I've been privvy to the project, and it's very good.  I hope that it all turns out well.

Thanks, BT. Perhaps you'd like to help speed up the progress once KQ3VGA's done? :)

I plan on doing that. Check out the Designer Journal once every two months or so.

You probably had to be there.

Seriously though, it was an April Fools, just a bit of fun from the Hero 6 team.
