Yeah, but the problem is that you can't get the rope while you're still on it...Groveborn1234 wrote:"Get rope".
Yep, that's the quest... *grumbles* I swear, if the only reason I could never get past that part was because I stopped climbing when I got to the window... And now I can't even remember whether I tried just climbing to the top first... Well, now I know for if/when I play through the EGA version again... Thanks!adeyke wrote:There's only one house you can rob, and you can only rob it after you're told to do so. To enter it, you just "climb rope" next to the window and then hit the up arrow. You'll automatically climb up towards the window, enter the window, and take the rope with you.

Mmh. Blame it on the postman. Typical.Anonymous Game Creator 2 wrote:Well, Vivendi just got back to us and said that the first CD we sent them over 2 months ago never arrived at their offices. So we've just had to resend it to them again a few days back.
Our contact at Vivendi said that he'll try to hurry the authorization process along, and he expects that we should still be able to release the game according to our currently anticipated schedule.
And of course, you should THANK THEM for "hurrying" after they lost your CD. Typical. ;)

sjyeager, would you mind using the edit button if you have further questions or comments to add. That will allow you to combine all of your questions into a single post, rather than having 3 separate posts one after the other. Also, please don't post meaningless posts in this particular thread. This thread acts as the main source of updates from the main page. Being concise helps big threads, like this one, to remain uncluttered. Thanks.
In regards to your questions:
1) The same average amount of bugs still remain at the moment.
2) Well, I hope it comes out tomorrow... (but it won't.)
3) There are debug codes, but whether they will appear in the final game is yet to be decided.
4) Max stats are 200 for regular stats, and 250 for any spell that you use the Djinni's wishes for.

No new wishes, but there are some 'extras' that will become available after wishing for certain combinations of attributes.Solarkid wrote:Cool, you gonna add any new wishes to the list?
i always thought it would be good if you could wish for a certain nice item or spell
Nope, both spells and stats can be wished up to 250. T'was a typo on my part.gamecreator wrote:Is this a change from the original (where I thought you could wish for skills past 200 as well)? If so, why?

If you speak to the Djinni, he'll reveal that he volunteered to be in the ring to help a future Hero complete Suleiman's prophecy by defeating Iblis. Things like riches wouldn't help complete that task. He's also not a very powerful Djinni.Solarkid wrote:Cool, you gonna add any new wishes to the list?

In practical terms, there's no use for money or special items that late in the game, and any new spell in this version couldn't be exported to later games.

Wishes
Concerning the first point...combinations of wishes? Sounds like funny ways to lose. A combination needs at least two units, so if a new wish unlocks for the third, what's the point?Anonymous Game Creator 2 wrote:No new wishes, but there are some 'extras' that will become available after wishing for certain combinations of attributes.Solarkid wrote:Cool, you gonna add any new wishes to the list?

Concerning the second point, I trust Honor remains unalterable?
Well, any NEW spell couldn't be exported... But I always kinda thought it'd be nice if you could wish for the "Zap" spell, since that was the ONLY spell you couldn't get as a non-Magic User that took some points in Magic.avoozl snot wrote:any new spell in this version couldn't be exported to later games.
Yes, I realize they finally sell it in QFG5, but yeesh, there's a long wait for a simple spell.
Hi
Is the game comning out this year or not? sjyeager: Sorry to say but I feel a lil confused. Please tell me you were joking when you said it may come out next year
If the game doesn't make it this year I guess I am gonna have to crawl into a dark closet and cry myself to sleep for a few hours ouch! :\

I'm pretty sure sjyeager was just being negative, as if to say that QG2 remake still having bugs = months of more hard work without a release.
I'm not sure this is the case... but I wouldn't know. I'm thinking the game's gotta come out this year sometime, but I have yet to even get a hint at that Just wishful thinking.

Zap's magic appearance
Actually, it's not just QfG2. Anyone with a Magic stat will automatically gain Zap upon import into QfG2, QfG3, or QfG5. The last is particularly stupid as Zap is actually purchasable in Shakra's shop (along with the Wizard-only spells from QfG3 and QfG4, Juggling Lights and Resistance).Erpy wrote:Actually, I believe that importing a non-wizard with magic into QFG2 gave you Zap at the start.
Personally, I'd kinda like to remove Zap from my Magic & Stealth Paladin. That way, purchasing it from Shakra is finally logical (and after all, it's impossible to build up Zap in QfG3 without access to the magic combat screen, only available to Wizards and Thieves).

Aren't they still aiming for a 2004 release?
