Who else...
...Was scared by the random encounters as a child? The ogre terrified me, and even today I still have trouble mustering courage to go into the dark areas.

Re: Who else...
Guilty as charged. To this day I hesitate and turn around the other way on instinct when I near the dark forest areas of KQ1SCI/VGA. I was even afraid of running into the sorcerer/enchanter in KQ1AGI.

Erpy and everyone else who works at AGDI, very often I love your work, but that Head-crushing thing, courtsey of the ogre? Nightmares after that.
Re: Who else...
As a child I was afraid of walking around the Arcada in Space Quest 1 in fear of the Sariens. When that message "you think you hear footsteps" appeared, I tended to panic. The dead bodies all over the spaceship only made it worse.

Re: Who else...
I played the ega version of Space Quest 1 before VGA, so I knew what to do and not get killed. The guys who made the games seemed to be very morbid, yet funny.

I love how you can always have a pretty good idea when a scene in the woods will have some bad guy or girl out to get you. The trees look scarier. There are no flowers around. The area is darker with more shadows, etc.

Once I played Quest for Glory for the first time, I was relived big time when I found out you could fight the creatures.

I played King's Quest I VGA after Quest for glory and when I got the dragon I was thinking "how the hell do I enter stealth."
