What was the funniest thing you found in King's Quest II?
When I was looking at the books in the Library, one caught my eye, Quest for Glory: A Hero's Death. Which, by the way, is the book that Kaspar (the Dry Good storekeeper in Spielburg) was reading in Quest for Glory I, I nearly fell over laughing! (Okay, slight exaggeration, but it was REALLY funny!)

Re: What was the funniest thing you found in King's Quest II?
That one was just a cameo. Although I did laugh at a lot of the book titles. (like the book with things to do when you're lonely, followed by the comment Graham isn't even going to touch that one)
The biggest laugh was "The Madness of King Graham" though. When I first saw it it so completely caught me by surprise that I was laughing for minutes on end. That egg was brilliant.

I've never been much of a Star Trek fan, but I've always liked the Easter Egg that Daniel added when you talk to the log at the back of Hagatha's cave. Josh Mandel's Shatner-like voicing added the icing on the cake.

I also liked the Madness of King Graham and another one where he mentions that he wished he still had an owl with him.

I really liked the nightingale puzzle and the surprise at the end.

He doesn't wish he still had one as he hasn't met Cedric yet (lucky dog). He wishes he had an owl companion to begin with. In about two decades he'll get his wish and then...well, you did mention you liked The Madness of King Graham...Chrismarr wrote:I also liked the Madness of King Graham and another one where he mentions that he wished he still had an owl with him.

The unicorn book in the library and the conversation with the librarian was priceless.

I apologize if this is too much of a bump, but it's kind of hard to avoid on this particular forum, and I wanted to make sure a prior thread existed before I went to the trouble of making a new one.
Anyway, the funniest thing I found in King's Quest 2?
Upon clicking "Not To Knight" during the test of the Cloud Spirit, Graham's blunt order - "Go back to your village, Connor." I can't help but think that this was a backhanded slap to King's Quest 8. Either way, it's still hilarious in my eyes.

One thing that stood out to me was the different accents of the man who had stolen the pumpkin. Switching to the Indian-like accent for the "fake" voice was a nice, humorous touch. Good voice acting. There is so much to praise about this remake. The writer did a great job giving everything more depth.

Hmmm. Aside from laughing at the glitch I caused by saving the game while the snake is hypnotized (if you do this, the hypnotization will NEVER again (in that saved game) be long enough for you to cross the path of the snake), I found it somehow hilarious when Graham decided not to follow his voice deep into the chasm.

Graham: "The door! Why you..."
Hagatha: "Witch?"
Valiance: "I'm sure that would've rhymthed".
Cracks me up every time.

Speaking to the log lying on the ground just east of Hagatha's cave always brings a smile to my face.

If you also click the shell comb as an icon around the town, you get a funny message. Even funnier if you have voices on!

That's my favorite too. I just love everything about KQ2+ Valanice! She is SO a perfect match for Graham!JBeast42 wrote:Graham: "The door! Why you..."

After trying to speak to the snake you get a message that goes something like this "You are not Harry Potter, you do not have the gift of parsel tongue". That made me chuckle. Also when you walk by the Hagatha's cave at night the batmobile comes flying out and drives around for a bit. At the end of the game Batman attended the wedding, haha.

Madness of King Graham followed by the Qfg2 egg outside Enchanter's cave.
Re: What was the funniest thing you found in King's Quest II
When the narrator tells Graham that he doesnt have the time to dilly dally around picking flowers.
and in the Dwarf's house when he says "that's not a knife...remember that knife you found under a rock that one time? - now that was a knife!".
real funny

Don't know if this one is still around, as I haven't gotten it to work in the version with the narrator voice, but... talking to the skulls in front of Hagatha's cave. I sure felt bad though, having to smash Murray to get the blue gem back.

Yeah, that was removed.
