One screen north from Hagatha's cave, at the beginning of the game you see possum (?). Near her there is that YELLOW BIG BUTTERFLY! Fix it please so I could play the game without bugs <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> This patch needs to be made, it should be called: "Free from butterflies game patch".

This is not a bug. Technically speaking, butterflies belong to the lepidoptera family -- not the coleoptera family, which is the largest of the two insect orders and classifies all species of beetles... or bugs, if you prefer. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

...well according to: [1913 Webster]

1. (Zo["o]l.) A general name applied to various insects
belonging to the Hemiptera; as, the squash bug; the chinchbug, etc.

2. (Zo["o]l.) An insect of the genus Cimex, especially the bedbug ({Cimex lectularius). See Bedbug.

3. (Zo["o]l.) One of various species of Coleoptera; as, the ladybug; potato bug, etc.; loosely, any beetle.

4. (Zo["o]l.) One of certain kinds of Crustacea; as, the sow bug; pill bug; bait bug; salve bug, etc.

Note: According to popular usage in England and among
housekeepers in America around 1900, bug, when not
joined with some qualifying word, was used specifically
for bedbug. As a general term it is now used very
loosely in America as a colloquial term to mean any
small crawling thing, such as an insect or arachnid,
and was formerly used still more loosely in England.
``God's rare workmanship in the ant, the poorest bug
that creeps.'' --Rogers (--Naaman). ``This bug with
gilded wings.'' --Pope.
[1913 Webster +PJC]

AGC2 is right the butterfly is not a bug, but bugs are more then the coleoptera family. If you use the more generous definition of bug "a small crawling insect" then the larvea of the butterfly is a bug.
That means that the yellow butterfly that is flying free in KQ2 is a symbol of all the hours of bugfixing and testing that the Tierra team has endured.
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

/mason
