Stuck in Angelina's basement

According to the FAQ, I'm supposed to look for the magic carpet, but I can't find it anywhere. My contrast and brightness are both set to maximum, and I spent a good hour clicking all over the place. Can anyone help me?

You did find the hidden trapdoor into the basement, right?

IIRC, the carpet is positioned in the left side of the room, rolled up and leaning against some crates.
