It's getting closer, from what I hear. I'm not really the one to give you accurate updates, though. You should try checking their site instead.

Maybe they are waiting for AGDI project QG2 VGA game to be finished so they can check what neat stuff they can add in that game.

As we are working on the actual game, there will be no more demos. Hopefully there will be some new screenshots soon.

Music will be starting again very soon, but for now music is NOT accepting applications for new members. Please check the forums for music news.

Art as usual, really needs 2D animators to make and edit sprites.

Plot is finishing up some minor details of the ending, and the story is otherwise very close to final. Of course, it still needs editing of dialogues to be TRULY final.

In Programming, I would estimate that the actual progress on the game itself at the alpha stage is at around 50 or 60% now. There are lots of bugs being squashed each week.

I always wondered...what exactly is "the first part"? There may have been word of so-called chapters, but if that's the case, I never picked it up.

Hero6 progress

#9 Post by PValiant » Sat Aug 28, 2004 1:22 pm

For internal use we devided the plot outline of hero6 in chapters each marked with a special event in the plot. The programmers have first created an engine and build the hero6world, and than moved on scripting the first chapter of hero6, with all the characters, quests and puzzles.

I know hero6 has been going on for years now and i trully understand why some have lost confidence in the actual creation of the game. As with all other projects out there, amateur game creation has its weaknesses and will take a long time. One of the reasons is the lack of experience with game creation. For hero6 this especially counts as it was the first project in a since than long tradition of amateur game creation.

Many mistakes have been made in the beginning and some are still overshadowing the current affairs of the hero6team. Almost all other projects out there learned from hero6 mistakes and thereby created a better basis for these projects.

That said i am fully confident that hero6 will be finished. And the visitor pages will soon get some updates to make things a bit more interesting :)

Well,

If people want it, sure. But I believe that storyline did draw to its conclusion with the climatic (?) ending of QfG5. There's several QfG-related projects going on, including Hero6, QfI and I believe Katrina.

I'm sure there is something there. We must just find it, I think it would be nice to ave another QFG sequel. ;)

Well, you could try supporting the "How to Be a Hero" novel project by Lori and Mishell. It's based on the QFG game series, and I heard that they might be able to make game sequels if the books sell well.

Whether the actual game is good or not I think it would be an amazing achievement for a fan made game to actually be released after over 4 years in development!

Im not being sarcastic or anything by saying that it would really be cool just to finally get it finished and see what the results are (fan response).

A decent game lol

I don't really know what Hero 6 is about and I've never played Quest for Glory but I just think it would be an achievement in itself to finish the game.
