Pretty Girls Make Graves
Radiohead
Sunny Day Real Estate
The Anniversary
The Blood Brothers (amazing!)
The Fire Theft
The Locust
The Mars Volta

Yeah Yeah Yeahs
I also really like The Bad Plus... it's a jazz indie-rock band. Pretty slick stuff.

Snarky wrote: They're pretty good. I listened to them a lot around the time when 'Cruel Intentions' was released (say what you will about the movie; the use of music over the title sequence was brilliant).
Cruel Intentions is one of my favorite movies, I admit one of the main reasons is the music. I do agree that the use of placebo at the beginning was fantastic.
It's a great albumSnarky wrote:It was listing the White Album that gave you instant cred, though.

My list has changed a bit:
Franz Ferdinand-Take Me Out
The Horrorpops-Girl In a Cage
a bunch of songs from Kill Bill vol.2
Blondie-Dreaming
Shakira-Ojos Asi
Guys and Dolls(the musical)-Adelaide's Lament
The Chicago soundtrack
Carmen(the opera)-Habanera
Minor Threat-Look Back and Laugh
The Distillers-their first 2 albums
Iggy Pop and the Stooges-1969

I was being completely sarcastic. Georges Bizet is the author of the Opea Carmen....... I was refering to it's recent resurgence in popularity amongst young people, and the fact that MTV made a horrible film called Carmen: A Hip-Hopera a few years ago.chels wrote:uhh as far as I know, yes it was and is. Unless it has been performed as something other than an opera at some point in time.Blackthorne519 wrote:chels wrote: Carmen(the opera)-Habanera
Wow! You mean Carmen was an OPERA?????!?!!?!?!!?!?
Bizet rolls in his grave.......

I see. A hip hopera? What a great way to ruin a classic.Blackthorne519 wrote: I was refering to it's recent resurgence in popularity amongst young people, and the fact that MTV made a horrible film called Carmen: A Hip-Hopera a few years ago.

I love to listen to the songs from Southpark.
Cartman's Christian rock band cover songs are funny.
Cartman's Christian rock band cover songs are funny.
Yes I may be born again, but I wasn't born again yesterday.
.....
I want'a get down on my knees and start pleasing Jesus. I want'a feel his salvation all over my face.
.....
The body of Christ, sleek swimmer's body, all muscled up and toned.
The body of Christ, Oh, Lord Almighty, I wish I could call it my own.
.....
You're one time, two times, three times my Savior...
.....
Whenever I see Jesus up on that cross I can't help but think that he looks kind'a hot...

Bloodbath's "Breeding Death" EP
Aborted's "Goremageddon: The Saw And The Carnage Done" album
Opeth's "Deliverance" and "Damnation" albums
Danzig's "Circle Of Snakes" album
Lemon Jelly's song "Nice Weather For Ducks"
that's about it.

This just goes to show you how utterly insane QFG fans truly are...
Anyways, in my stereo box nowish: I just discovered this progressive blues singer by the name of R.L. Burnside. He's really good stuff. Also, I've got Muddy Waters, Audioslave, Green Day (can't wait to get their new album), OAR, and Nina Simone. I'm in one of those weird music "transitional stages" where I'm not quite sure what style I can say I'm most into, so it's weird at the moment. Then again, I've always been rooted in rock, so rock that heavily incorporates other things I like, like blues and jazz and folk music, is like a godliness.

Bruce McCullough - "Shame Based Man"
Bruce was in the Canadian sketch-comedy show "Kids in the Hall". This CD is funny; my girlfriend gave it to me. She loved "Kids in the Hall"
Adam Sandler - "Shhh..... don't tell."
Seriously. Messed. Up. Best track
18. Whore!?!? Where are you?
U2 - "The Joshua Tree"
Jesus. This Album..... one of the greatest ever made.
The Beatles - "Let It Be"
Let it be still makes me cry.
Elton John - "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road"
One of the greatest albums of the 1970's. Includes John's single greatest composition - "Funeral For A Friend/Love Lies Bleeding"
Now the guilty pleasure.......
Coery Hart - Never Surrender.
Damn 80's Canadian rock.........
