Kings Quest 5 Problems

I have KQ5 and I want to play but everytime the Sierra logo animation comes up, theres the 2 sparkles.. then it is kinda frozen like that, I can Alt-Tab and close.. but I can't get into the game. I found a patch for rare restore bugs.. couldn't even figure out how to get that to.. work. Anyways, anybody know of any patches or anything I can use to make this thing work?

If you are using the Roland sound option then that can make the intro freeze for upto 30 seconds, try waiting and see what happens.

If running Windows 2000/XP, try using VDMSound. That should do the trick.

Windows 2000/XP also works good too
