Got Sars? I mean Scars.

#1 Post by Quest For Glory Fan » Sat Jan 08, 2005 8:05 am

Well i mainly posted out of excitement of my recent posting binges raising me to defense minister status. Than I thought I'd put whats up. Turns out I have the most embarassing digestive problem there is. 1 virtual cookie to anyone who can geuss what I've got. Then I was wondering with the recent discovery of a scar on my cheek last week Who has scars cause apparently everyones got them and I never noticed. I'm sure most of us have heard that there's a story behiend every scar. I'll start with mine as I only have to scars

Scar number 1
Location: half an inch to the right of my right eye
Received in: Summer 2000
Noticability: no one has ever really asked me about it. It's just an indent not almost the size of my pinky finger.
From This I Learned: Punches make people bleed in real life and not just in Rocky movies
How I got it: got punched in the face by a 12 year old, 6 foot tall, Giant, Russian kid when I was 10. the blow glanced that part of my face as I turned my head to the right in recoil and blood shoot onto the gym floor.

Note: AS IF I DIDN'T EVEN GET THE SILVER MEDAL FOR THAT IT WAS THE FINALS. than again I couldn't really get the medal cause I was in the hospital before they anounced the winner. It was tied at 4 4 (goes to 5) when I was destroyed.

Scar Number 2
Location under my left eye where a little after where the cheek begins
Received: before I can remember
Noticability: pretty unnoticable considering I myself just found out about it like 8 days ago
From This I Learned: I may have more unnoticed scars that I should search for.
How I Got It: according to the ancient lore of mother I fell on the corner of a raised fireplace when I was learning to walk. I'm not sure if I believe this as my senses in my head are a little screwed. They tell me their are explanations for these but I keep telling them they beat me as a youngster.

I may recieve two more scars one on my arm right above where I wear my watch and the other on my right hip. These are still pending although the mark on my arm has been there for almost 6 months.

I look forward to hearing of other peoples scars

Got a small scar on the back of my head when someone hit me with a 2x4 back when I was 11. I didn't get knocked out but I hardly remember anything, but it was just at the start of the Summer holidays and I spent it mostly in bed with a slight concussion.

You can still see it, everytime I get my haircut there's always a revealing bump sticking out with no hair on it, like a bald patch. And alot of people ask about it.

Ouch, Broomie, sounds like it hurt quite a bit.

I've 4 or 5 scars I think.

The latter one was avoidable. I was holding my pencil, doing my homework for the uni., when all of a sudden the phone rang. I held the sharp end of the pencil inside my closed hand, when I rushed to answer the phone... now it was a rather sharp end. It left a nasty cut. What's left today is a vague line, which one can easily mistake for one of the natural lines in one's hand.

The rest are little ones in my feet. I got them when I was tiny.

Oh I more aswell, one on my hand aswell back when I was 9. I was playing with my friends and we were having races. I was running with my friend when I slipped and scraped my hand against the broken shards of glass which laid on the floor, I noticed that instead of it being all red with blood it was all dark grey and black. I found out I had burst a vein and my hand went completely numb. It healed thankfully a couple of week later. But there's a small grey spot today on my hand.

Another was quite painful, again I was out with my mates and I was about 13. We were playing football and I kicked the ball into a bush, I ran into get it where I thought a thorny branch had caught my leg. Looking down I saw rusty barbed wife impaled into my leg. At first I didn't realise and then I shouted "AHHH F**K!" and my mates ran over and saw what had happened. I went to the hospital for stitches and my god it bloody hurt! Again it happened just before the holidays so I must be unlucky when it comes to the end of the school term.

I've got a small scar on my face near my left nostril that I got when I was 7. I was on holiday in England with my family at my dad's parent's old house in Keynsham and I was outside, bored because my dad had taken my brother to the doctors because he had the flu and I was marching up and down on top of a small brick wall (about a foot high, I guess). Anyway, said brick wall had moss on the top of it and having never encountered moss before, I didn't know how slippery it was. So, I slipped and (this is fairly blurry in my memory, btw) I think I hit one of the edges of the brick wall and then fell down onto the bitumen driveway below.

My grandparents doors were locked from the outside, so I remember running around the outside of the house, crying and screaming for my mum, banging on the windows for a good few minutes, while I was bleeding from where my scar is. Eventually, my dad came back with my brother and saw that I was bleeding and managed to get me inside. Luckily, I didn't require stitches. Though I will definintely remember the lady in the yard of the house directly across the road just staring at me and not moving to help me, all while I was screaming and yelling for help.

I've also got quite a few large scars on the back of my shoulders from a nasty case of severe acne I suffered from years ago (nodular cystic acne).

1) 2" long scar on my left shin: aquired as a child, playing on a wooden playground. Fell on piece of wood, pierced my skin two inches deep.

2) 10" scar, right leg, extending from kneecap to mid-thigh.  Fell off of a top of a pop-up camping unit, my leg scraped down a bolt that was sticking out.

3) 6" scar, right side of right thigh; pushed down inside a baseball dugout, bolt sticking out dug a giant crevice on my leg.  As long as the scar was, it was also about three inches deep.  I was lucky I didn't sever any arteries.

4.) 1" scar, right hand on thumb.   Cutting a piece of meat, the knife slipped.

5) <1" scar, to the left of my left eye.  I don't remember how I got that one.

6) 1" scar, small round on my upper right chest.  Emergency line placed in my chest, leading to my jugular vein so I could undergo emergency dialysis, two years ago.

7) 3" scar below the back of my elbow, right arm.  This is where I had surgery to have an arterioveinous fistula in my arm.  This is where an artery and vein are tied together to form a large surface vein in which the large dialysis needles can puncture the skin. In addition to the surgical scar, there are at least a hundred individual tiny scars where the needles poked through the skin.

8) 15" surgical scar, lower right side of my abdomen - Kidney Transplant

9) 12" surgical scar, middle abdomen, extending from above belly button to above crotch - Limphocele surgery post transplant.  This one almost killed me.

10) <1" scar, tip of my tongue.  I bit off a section of my tongue playing Hocky when I was younger.

I think that's all of them.

Bt

Three scars overall.

1) Left fist. Was fighting.
2) Right fist. Was fighting. :p
3) Left hand, forefinger - when I was four years old, I grabbed an exposed cable and my forefinger literally  stuck to the metal part of the cable. I got the scar when they were cutting off the cable :rolleyes from my hand. God, it was painful.

I have a few scars here and there

1st scars. Knees. Mom was pushing me on the Merry-Go-Round when I was 5 at the park. She said hold on tight, and I let go and went flying. Skinned my right and left knees really good.

2nd scars. Elbows, right hip, shoulder and back. All from Skateboarding. Road rash anyone?

3rd scars. Right knuckle. I used to get into alot of fights when I was younger. I was a very angry child, and eventually grew out of it. My right hand delt alot of the more powerful blows, and knocked out the most teeth. Those scars are starting to fade, but they are still there.

Now this is a cool thread!  :D

1. My right leg where I dropped some melted plastic on it when I was 10. It hurt a lot.

2. I got a scar across my right left-ball which I can actually see if I go cross-eyed or look really really far to the side. I got it when I was playing a game with my older brother when I was little. Put spoon on floor, hit spoon end, winner has the spoon travel the furthest. My brother won when his hit me in the eye, cutting my eyeball.

I fell off of a trampoline onto a metal spike jutting out of the ground and it split my neck open. My parents didn't even care enough to take me to the hospital, and I thought I was going to die, because I was 11 at the time.

I got 3 scars

1. From going to my sisters house who live on a hill and riding a bike that i was rtold had brakes. This resulting in going into a bush. Giving me a 1/4 of a metr lon scar on my back.

2. When i was was 7 i had this great game where i'd have the trailor and would lift one side up making the other og down the whells being the pivet pount. Than i'd try to run as far as i caould befor it fell. Unluckly on the 4 trry my dad snuck up and scared me making me run formward. so the corner of the trailor came down above my left eye and than i went unconcious from blood loss.

3. Happened 5 days ago. I was cleaning my room oput my arms up to yarn (not knnowing the fan was still on) cut my four fingers on my left hand to the bone.

:cry scars hurt

A few on the back of my head; small circular ones, my cousin hit me in the back of my head with a rock when we were 7 or 8.  She didn't mean to.. just had bad aim.  Actually I think it was broken concrete.. I have very short hair, so you can see them easily.

Big one under my right knee, burnt on a motorcycle exhaust pipe, can't feel anything there now.  Must have fried the nerve(s), literally.  That was when I was 13.  Shouldn't have been riding a motorcycle that young anyway.   ;)

One on my left forearm, two on my left upper arm.  Probably from working under cars, I had so many cuts I can't tell which ones left scars and which didn't.

A whole bunch on my hands, knuckles mostly.  Some from fighting... boys will be boys.  Some from welding.  "I don't need those protective gloves, no one wears those anyway"

The one that has the scariest memory to go with it is the scar from the stab wound on my stomach.  Getting that one was just no fun.

whoa how did you get stabbed? That sounds like an interesting tale. and muzlak a bit of detail is required to make a post in which people mention... unless they post for lack of detail like I'm doing. Anyways is that everyone? I hope some of the old big posters come check this out like Rambaldi, or Fribbi, or The Knight, and those people. I'm sure they've got some good ones

I spiced my left hand on a sharp end of an ashtray when I was 11. I was sitting in a bus, I wanted to wave at my mom (standing outside), but didn't watch my hand as it went up into the air. It was bleeding pretty badly...
