I didn't even know about KQIX until it was cancelled, but as gutted when I found out. I'm so chuffed that it's all back on and can't wait for its release! Hurrah all round!

The Silver Lining has got a listing on Gamespot now.  It was even on a section of the front page!  I just thought this was freaking cool, and would encourage you guys to go sign on, or sign up if you haven't (it's free and quick) and add the game to your wish list or tracked games which is a major part of how they rank games.

Congrats to the Silver Lining team! What a huge relief to know that the entire team's hard work didn't go to complete waste.  I'm looking forward to playing the game. :)

YEEHAAA!!
I did all my best for the letter and petition. Surely, I will write to them again and give all thanks they deserve.

By the way, did you sent the petitions? How people ( approximately )wrote to VU ?( actually, I think Vivendi is seperate from Universal but I don't know if it's the case for other countries ). I'm almost sure it is the number and quality of the letters that helped a lot.

It's not only a victory for KQ9, it's a proof for other fan-games that it is possible to survive from a C&D if the "authors" are enjoyed about why fan-games exist.

Tycho plugged The Silver Lining on Penny Arcade today. (http://www.penny-arcade.com) Their front page links always get swamped, so hopefully this will just bring more supporters to the project, and back around to adventure games.  :)

Gamespy posted an interview with the Silver Lining team. Check it out:

Anyways, good news. I'm not as informed on the goings-on of the graphic adventure creation scene (despite trying to get a project of my own going :|), but it's nice to see that such a project can survive a catastrophe.

Hey here's a theory, maybe VU saw how the fans reacted when Sam & Max 2 got cancelled and was therefore all for granting a fan licence to continue the game :D.
