I'll be doing a book reading for Game Quest (www.gamequestnovel.com if you don't know anything about it) on Saturday May the 20th at 4:30 in at McNally Robinson bookstore in Winnipeg, Manitoba (portage place location). If anybody is interested (and doesn't have anything better to do with their May long weekend!) it'd be great to see you there. There's no charge or anything, and I won't guilt you into buying the book!
I'll also be teaching two panels at the sci-fi/fantasy contest that weekend on self-publishing (or independent publishing, as I prefer to call it) and web-publishing (like how I serialized Game Quest). If anyone is interested in that, they should come too. I'll put the exact dates and times here when I know. Not sure what it costs to get into the keycon, but I'll try and put that here too when I know.
Thanks!
Anyone from Winnipeg on this board?

Hey, cool! I hope to see you there.
I've only been to winnipeg once before. I've driven through it lots and never stopped, thinking it had to be the dullest city in Canada. But last summer I was coming through and I said 'I have to stop.' It's a totally beautiful city. I'm really glad I'm getting a chance to come back so soon.

Yeah, maybe I liked it because I only stopped for half a day and had low expectations. But where the two rivers meet is really beautiful, and the downtown was nice. Reminded me a lot of Calgary (where I grew up) before it went nuts.
But you can't complain it's gonna be boring on May 20th at 4:30pm!!!! Wheeee!!
