Kings Quest 6 glitch

Has anyone experienced a glitch in KQ6 just after you have solved the third puzzle on the Logic Cliffs? I am stuck on a stone step and no matter where I click my mouse that idiot Alexander waves at me and drops to his death. It doesn't give you an option as to where you step at all. One of those timing issues? A patch perhaps? I can't find one anywhere....HELP!

I know of no patches for KQ6. Does he wobble and regain his balance like usual or does he just stand there? Also, have you tried restoring and trying the puzzle again?

Nah - he wobbles on all the rest of them, but when you walk him up to this particular step it's like he is hovering just above it - but he stays there ok and you can solve the puzzle fine. Then the rest of the steps appear but as soon as you click ANYTHING he just slides forward and drops. B&^%rd!!!!

I thought that if I restored and tried again it would be ok too, but nooooo.

Bugger. I was really gettin' somwhere too!!!

You've heard of nothing to fix this one?
