5 x 365 x 8 =
Actually, it's more like:
5 x 365 x 7 x 2 = :x
(And that's nearly ONLY for the programming!)

Sure! Sometimes, I'll go to the fridge, talk to the dog/cat, or take a shower.
Oh, who are we kidding... we're making
adventure games here!

I've got a pretty active social life - not as crazy as I was in my youth, but I still see the sun on a pretty regular basis.
I also, sadly, do kidney dialysis every other day for about five hours, and usually afterwards I'm pretty spent, so that cuts into my time.
But I spend a good several hours a day doing adventure game related work.

Polycystic Kidneys. Only a matter of time.
Kidneys already twice the normal size.
Hehe. How did we get on this topic?

Hey, I'm very familiar with polycystic kidney disease.
Man, I had no idea - I'm sorry. Kidney disease sucks. If you ever have any questions about dialysis or transplants, just drop me a line. I've had a transplant and I'm on dialysis, so I'd be happy to answer whatever I could.
As for the rest of you, always take care of your kidneys! Have your doctor check your blood-serum creatinine and protein in your urine!

Does that factor in answering all the people who keep asking "is it done yet?" :P

Probably not. Most of the people who ask this now clearly didn't find their way to this thread. If they do read this thread and still whine on, they're not even worth the bandwidth used to enter this reply...

I agree. You are my heroes as well. I am very much looking forward to playing the new version. I grew up playing QFG over and over...starting on the 80386 (pre-pre-pentium). *sniff* Ah, blessed CGA.
Thanks for all you do.

That's a cool Avatar dude, We just need you to resize it to 100 by 100 pixels so that we can still read everything on the site fine. Also Welcome to the AGDI forums.

Yeah, sorry about that. Newbie.
Saw how it freakishly affected the site, and grabbed something else quick. Have been following your progress ever since I first heard of you about two years ago. Good luck with the final testing!

Oh I'm no team member, just a fellow devotee. from the reports that have been published I'm confident that Beta is going fine though and we should be expecting a perfectly playable game in the near future. These guys (and gal) know they're stuff and have been at it awhile.

I have only been following this thread for the past year, but i too grew up on the QFG games, and am thrilled that someone has finally remaking it.

The mods will tell you this sooner or later, so I'll just go ahead and say it first.
Please resize your avatar so that it doesn't distort the screen. Thanks.

It looks to me like the last progress update was over two months ago now (February 24). How are things going?

We're a few days away from releasing the first Release Candidate version to the beta testers. If minimal or no bugs are found in that version, then it will likely become the final release.
The beta was also sent to Vivendi a while back, and we're still waiting to hear back from them on the approval for release. We can't release the game publicly until they have given us the green light.
