I'm sorry for my ignorance but: was KQ4 originally mad as a VGA?

No; it was first made as an EGA game with a text parser.

someone was remaking KQ 4 into VGA. But don't know where those idiots are now. It was such a long time since their site was updated and right now i am getting a 404 not found error on their site. Why dosen't AGDI remake KQ 4 now.

I guess we could add a coupla more years working on stuff we're not able to make a single dime off. Or maybe we shouldn't. Nah....

So are we not going to see a king quest 4 VGA remake :cry couldn't you guys contact them and take over project or something if they are not gonna carry on with it. 4 remains the only KQ game not remade now.

Is QFG 2 VGA the last freeware game AGDI ever going to make..

Hah, I kinda wonder how I would react if someone contacted my team and told us they're taking over 'cause we weren't going fast enough and as the authority on such matters in fangame-land, they're here to set things straight for us. I'd probably feel offended and believe the person to be an...ummm...idiot.

I personally believe we will finish what we've started at AGDI and then quit while we're ahead. Nobody knows where we'll be within a couple of years and I believe it's better to go out with a bang than to fade away.

Yeah, that wasn't cool to call them "those idiots".

Most people that would "take over because they're not working fast enough" would find out the massive amount of work and time it takes to make one of these games.

But, for all the detractors, there's an awesome amount of supportive fans. Take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there ya have....

The Weird part is that after AGDI finishes this game and closes shop I'll probably still be posting inane thoughts into the OT forum. I hope this server stays up long after the public problems are dealt with.

lets hope for all the fan eagearly waiting for KQ 4 VGA that they are having some server problem at their site right now to get the 404 not found error.
