Honestly, I wasn't a fan of the first update either. At the time it just seemed like bad design that I couldn't read a third of the page. Now it is more apparent that the unreadability is intentional though, and so I am looking forward to seeing where it develops to.MusicallyInspired wrote:Especially considering you're one of only two people who seem to think so. lol could you be any more dramatic about a simple opinion? whatever, guy.MusicallyInspired wrote:I'd say it was equally unfair of you to come out and say it's a waste of time after he's put so much effort into it. How big is this file going to be, by the way? I'm downloading it no matter what, but if the site goes down and I have the file, ill upload it and my 2gig bandwidth (I think its 2gig for my server) can get chewed up fast

I'd say a fair guess would be somewhere around 160 MB.
Re: ** QFG2 Official Countdown Thread, Sunday Shooting. **
Heh I don't think it will even fit on my server then. I got it free from a friend, and it only has 200meg or so. Maybe if I can clear out some stuff... maybe 7zip it when I get the chance :PMusicallyInspired wrote:I'd say a fair guess would be somewhere around 160 MB.
Actually, when I delete the 5238 new emails that are all junk off it... I may be able too.

Love, love, love the new page slowly engulfing the old page. Beautiful work. Really building up to the release quite nicely. I get giddy whenever I see the page has changed.
Each transition has been increasingly impressive. Well done.

I'd say the game is slightly over 80 MB compressed and about 200 MB uncompressed.

Wow you guys are really upping your game as far as graphics this time around. Thank you Eriq Chang for all your hard work.
I can't wait for your next commercial game to come around after QFG II.
Don't get me wrong I'm excited for it but I'd love to see what you do when the game's all yours again.
Oh, by the way what anime is your avatar from Erpy?
Edit: Maybe it was a little bit of a pretense...

I think the middle section there should have been saved for a PM.
Anyhow, back on topic, it's 12:13am where I'm at and no update on the main page...*sigh*

Yeah, you should have PMed that. You look like you're coming off as incredibly pretentious by making that your first post. Especially since none of us knows what the heck you're talking about.
So when's the next website update gonna be? The next one will probably be the finished website I imagine...

Is Trial by Fire going to be able to use the saves from the first QFG? Regular or VGA versions?

If by "save games" you mean "exported characters" then yes. You'll also be able to export you character again from QFG2VGA for use in QFG3.

Be patient. We've waited this long for what we've got now. I'm sure we can wait a few more days.

Whatever happened to the fanart competition? Wasn't that supposed to be happening this weekend? (Did I miss a post?
)

Re: ** QFG2 Official Countdown Thread, Sunday Shooting. **
It's about as much fun as watching a good movie...600 times in a row.there are no updates because the devteam can't stop playing qfg2 , it's so much fun

Re: ** QFG2 Official Countdown Thread, Sunday Shooting. **
Hahaha... I've done that before. Usually not watching it 2 or 3 years helps a little bit if you want to see it againand not be bored with it, but I don't know if that always works. Speaking of movies I've seen too many times, now I wouldn't mind seeing Naked Gun 33 1/3 again since it's been so long. Don't know if that works on video games.... probably not.Erpy wrote:It's about as much fun as watching a good movie...600 times in a row.there are no updates because the devteam can't stop playing qfg2 , it's so much fun

Re: ** QFG2 Official Countdown Thread, Sunday Shooting. **
Plus with a movie, you're just passively watching it, so you don't need to do anything. But playing the game over and over and writing down all the bugs and then getting them solved requires effort.
Therefore, playing a game 600 times is probably a little less boring than watching a movie 600 times (since the experience is always slightly different) but still, it's not exactly fun either!
