They're all good, but the first one is incredible. My jaw literally dropped open when I saw that. It seriously looked like a professional painting.

MusicallyInspired, Gronagor, Spikey and Corsair thanks, your encouragement really means a lot!

(original is 1280x720 res, I'll post it once it holds up a bit better at that resolution)

That is just the perfect pic. It enhances the atmosphere of the game in exactly the right fashion, if you know what I mean.
Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
Timo, you rock, man. Would you be at all interested in helping me out with my Quest for Glory I 2.5D project?
Lady Pyro, I notice you didn't use the "there have already been great Quest for Glory drawings" argument here. So I have to ask: why?

Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
Update and bigger resolution on the QFG 4 pic: (It's getting very busy at work for the next month so probably no updates during that time)

SolarKid, my dream Quest for Glory would be one with real sets (like they did the backgrounds in Tim Burton's stop motion film Corpse Bride) and shot with subtle camera move so you get real feel for the materials, textures and atmosphere. Now that would be awesome!
gamecreator, PValiant & Spikey: thank you!
AGP: I know how big of an undertaking such a project is and I simply don't have the time needed, but thanks for asking!

No problem. If you ever change your mind...
And great job on the update.

Wow, you're serious aren't you? You really took an innocent question so personally that you would attack me in a completely separate thread. I was curious about your motives, not questioning your right to do it.AGP wrote:Timo, you rock, man. Would you be at all interested in helping me out with my Quest for Glory I 2.5D project?

Kid, you need to grow up.
Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
You don't know me at all, but let me ask you this: what is it with your need to tell people what they need? It's not the first time you wrote this to me, and I'd be willing to bet I wasn't the first person to whom you wrote this.Kid, you need to grow up.

Actually it is on both counts. Or maybe you've been told this so many times you forgot who has said it to you.AGP wrote:You don't know me at all, but let me ask you this: what is it with your need to tell people what they need? But forget this, I'm not fighting on someone else's art thread.

Timo, I think your art sucks and you need to post at least three or four more before I mildly begin to consider it even remotely awesome.
So, please, post three or four more and you'll have my ultimate minor little praise.

Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
Wow..that scene of Mordavia is like my ultimate wish fulfillment for a QfG IV: SoD remake come true! I wish I could draw like that, but praising myself just wouldn't be as fun hehehe =) Thank you for sharing this with us, TV!
Lol...I ..actually saved this picture 3x to my HD just in case I lose/delete it =p I found your website and happily saved a bunch more of your amazing art.
One can only hope maybe you could collaborate w/ Himalaya Studios and do backgrounds or art in general or w/e for them. That'd be so awesome ^^
I think I need to load my DOSBox and play a QfG game again =D

Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
Blackthorne's request caught my attention so here I am back from the break hehe
Happy 2009 everyone!!
Lots of work on the shrubbery and bigger resolution for the Camelot piece. It's almost done now:
Mitch: Thank you.
Dhraiden: Official Quest for Glory 6 with the Coles & Himalaya and I would kill to work on that project
gamecreator: Thanks, check above! (don't know if this was soon though

Great as always. I like the additions to the water and window as well. Is the stone next?
Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
The Quest for Glory 4 one is definitely my favorite coloring, and the Coquests of Camelot one has such excellent composition and details. All of your work is astounding Timo! I'm amazed at the number of talented visitors this forum has had since QFG2 was released, especially you, Lady Pyro, and Solarkid.

Re: Quest for Glory and King's Quest fan art
I consider this finished:

..at least for now
gamecreator, KQartist, dungeonsofdorks and 1234567890: Thank you so much!
I'll work on the Axeman and Mordavia scenes next, they're both in 1280x resolution which is considerably bigger than this 900 pixels wide Camelot pic.

Aww man that's incredible!
The work on the walls and floor have transformed it, it's just so lovely and detailled.
I'll always be a big fan of your stuff Timo.
