It IS possible (I've done it a few times lately), but mail servers usually aren't built for the transfer of large files, both uploading and downloading is painfully slow and unless I split files into multiple parts, the uploading process is usually aborted in my case.

I'd like to call it a last-resort solution.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashb ...

nod, thx for the info. . .<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> but I want that game <ponders> well, I've got this Latvian e-mail site that has kinda 'unlimited' space available - but the largest mail I've heard my friend's sent from it is 12 Mb, so I don't know if it'd be able to handle anything bigger either. . .will have to try to get to some place that doesn't limited my foreign traffic, then. <sigh>

Is there still a need for people to d/l KQ1 and associated files?
If so, I'm willing to put it up on FTP.

That would be great. It's always useful to have some backup download spots. I suggest you post your offer in the mirror-topic in the general folder of this forum.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashh ...

Well, I had to shut down the ftp server for a night a few days back, but it only seems to have increased it's popularity.
Welcome to the current stats of 164 files totalling 5 Gigs.

I just thought I'd let everyone know that I'm taking down the FTP server shortly. I've asked Tierra to remove the link on the download page.

Please be assured that this is not out of anger, it's simply that I need my bandwidth next week to work. I'll be back up for the next game release.

I will leave the server running for the next couple of days, so if you've been trying to grab something, or been putting it off, now's your last chance.
