Actually there are at least 4 King's Quest collections I'm aware of plus Roberta Williams Anthology:

- King's Quest 15th Anniversary Edition
- King's Quest Collector's Edition
- King's Quest Collection Series
- King's Quest Collection

<a href="http://koti.mbnet.fi/~psychic/_fin_coll ...
<a href="http://koti.mbnet.fi/~psychic/_fin_game ...
(The games at those links are not for sale, I am myself also looking for three of those collections.)

--

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... sychic0 at: 2/2/03 8:30:33 pm

I got the one w/ the crown and the sword in the ground, and the lightning in the background- the King's Quest Collection. DOES contain VII. Cost either $30 or $40 at EB.

Your collection should also contain LB1 & LB2, and some other games too.
The Knight

we had all the originals (except for KQ5, which was an illegal copy from a friend), but by the time we got a new computer, we couldn't play most of them on it. eventually my sis and I broke down and bought the KQ collection. Now we have even a newer computer and can't get KQ5 to play AGAIN (which 3, 5, and 6 are our favorites). For some reason you HAVE to play KQ5 in a certain resolution and the Windows XP doesn't have that resolution. Not only that, but the process you are supposed to in order to play games that played on a previous computer DOES NOT WORK for KQ5!!!! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:"> Sorry, I'm ranting. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/eyes.gif ALT=":rolleyes"> I'll go now

Cat
Tenna' ento lye omenta

Aye.

I had that problem, too, when trying to run the Windows version of KQ5. I did get the DOS version running, though. I must say that the Windows versions are really awfully designed in this aspect; the AGS system of allowing full-screen mode is vastly superior.

Those windows versions were designed for Windows 3.1. Any company seems to handle "forward compatibility" better than Sierra used to do.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashb ...

I have both the Roberta Williams Anthology and the KQ 1-6 collection, which also contains a self-running demo of KQ7 (DOS only). And if we also count the non-KQ Sierra games, I also have Larry 1-7 and SQ1VGA, 4 and 6.

Erpy, you said you have problems getting these products. Are you missing anything?
Pidgeot
-----
Every error you find is the last one.

It's not the products. I have them. I was talking about the guidebooks (like the KQ-companion) WAAAY back into this thread.

<img src="http://members.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nas ...

Oh, yeah...one more thing. Unless you have something very relevant to add to an old topic, it's best not to post in them. In this case, the post right before yours was over 3 months old, so any questions or comments that the original poster had have already been addressed. Whenever someone posts a new post in a thread, it moves that thread to the top of the list and moves newer and more important threads down toward the bottom of the page or even onto another page altogether. It's common practice that unless you have a really important piece of information to add to a topic, then it's best not to reply to it.

~Wolfgang
