You can see what might be the kq3 team on the game making forum - they already have a demo made and sort-of an offer from AGD2 to form some sort of cooperation with Tierra, but nothing there is final yet.

I can take care of that if you want.

And KQ3 should be the winner of the poll.

Back on the topic -
Why does everyone only suggest remaking of Sierra's games? maybe they are the best, but they are not the only ones.
It would be nice to see a remake of a text-adventure, one that has a really good plot will be like making a movie out of a book.

I think Tierra's inspiration is Sierra, hence the name similarity, and that's why they're only doing Sierra games. The other obvious choice is LucasArts, but you know the problems there. They've also got more than enough already planned to not need a new project for some time.
Your idea is very interesting, it'd be neat to see someone do that.
As a Loyalist, I have to admit I'd rather Tierra (specifically, AGD1 & AGD2) to keep remaking Sierra games before other fan groups do them first, otherwhise Tierra won't do them. Based on everything out there, I don't see anything matching or better than Tierra.
Of course Hero and SQ7 and KQ9 should all be great, but they are doing new material, not remaking old material.

What are you talking about?

Stop!
Only Sierra's!!!!
Only Sierra's! Made by Tierra! Played by Us!
Erpy-I have some other important questions (other topic) to ask you, so better I'll email you, once my email is back on-line (quite dead now...).
"Vildern the shining cat,
so silent for a pet.
So small and furry,
but don't you worry.
Not even a louse,
in his blouse!
With his big shining eye,
he's one heck of a spy!
So smile my kitty,
you're such a pretty!"

Yeah, I never liked MOE either.
The Wizard and The Princess?? But that's just a cheap rip-off of the title of the German movie "The Warrior and The Princess"!
I for one would like to see KQ remakes take a long (looooooooong) vacation and open doors to other great possible remakes like Laura Bow 1, Conquest of Camelot, Codename ICEMAN and Gold Rush.
Just to clear things up, KQ1 and 2 vga were great (I liked 2 better), but I've never been that big a fan of the KQ series, so that might be why I'm so reluctant to yet another remake of a KQ's game, even if it were to be as good or better than KQ2vga.
Still... it seems the AGD's have their mind pretty set.

i think that we cannot expect from tierra to do remakes
WE want. Furthermore there are too many games. It would take years. The thing that plays then most important role though - more important even from playing a remake -
is that the activity of Tierra - AND the creator of AGS of course - motivated many people, who want to follow the same work, and do remakes!
So it would not be strange to see other teams , do these remakes! And then we could say that the Tierra not only revived adventures, but motivated other creators to do the same. And then ,seeing many teams working on remakes ,we could say that adventures revived!

"The Wizard and the Princess" was a game made by Sierra that takes places in the King's Quest universe.

Have no mistakes people, I'm with the KQ3 remake all the way!
Just that it would also be fun to see something like that...
KQ0 - certainly a possibility!

From what I gather, "the wizard and the princess (adventures in Serenia)" wasn't very much plotwise. Maybe Wookie can re-write it to describe The Father's first attempt at getting "the item"?

When did they make it? or is this all a bad joke done by Lucasfan?

It's no joke. It was made in 1982. It's included in the second KQ collection. It's just for the Apple IIe with an emulator included.

"Wizard And The Princess was the second game released by Roberta Williams in the same year as Mystery House, (1980). Unlike Mystery House, Wizard And The Princess introduced color to the game. Very basic color, but color, none the less, which made the game all the more intresting. It was released again in 1982, for IBM (as Adventures in Serenia). The plot?? An evil wizard, Harlin the Malevolent captured the fair Princess Priscilla and put up magical barriers to prevent the Wanderer from being able to save her. However, the Wanderer, being very resourceful, managed to overcome the evil Wizard and save the Princess, but the Wizard was vengeful, and plotted to change history so the Wanderer didn't save the Princess. He challenges you to try and save her, with the new barriers intact. Using your wit, skill and with a little luck, you beat the wizard again and saved the beautiful Princess. One of Sierra's earliest graphics games, Wizard and the Princess was a ridiculous little game with a threadbare plot that suggested what their games would eventually become (the game even took place in the land of Serenia, which was the name of the major country in King's Quest V). It had some cute graphics for the time, but mainly relied on very simple situations and cliches for their puzzles."

How about doing a 0 game for every Sierra games.
That would be great.

I recall something about some members of the QFG4.5-community intending to create something like that together with the creator of said game. I don't think that project is still alive however.

If Tierra won't do it. Then someone should form a team(unless already formed.), and make one.

Myself, I'm planing to make King's Quest 0.
Here the plot: Graham must prove to the king that he's the best knight for the king and the kingdom of Daventry by completing some quests.
But don't expect to release this game this year.
I must finish Henry Copper (a Half-Life parody), Serguei's destiny 2 and Naturette 3 before begining my to work my own King's quest game.

Naturette rules. Oui monsieur.

Good luck with your games. Do you speak French, Naturelle? I took it in high school for about three years.
Bon chance avec votre jeux.
