Take a close look at the items in your inventory (use the look icon). See if you can find one.

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

The crystal...

You have it already <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> . The eye cursor in the inventory could be useful here.

The crystal is attached to something that you have. Something that you have been carrying around for a while. From the beginning of the game, in fact.

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

Well, you just made an emerald to disenchant things, right? So, start looking for enchanted stuff that needs disenchanting! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p"> Take a look at the writing on the wall of the enchanter's house for your next clue...

~Wolfgang

And think about any out-of-place critters that you may have seen.

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

Another hint: It's a creature you met just recently (and, no...then enchanter does not qualify as a "creature" in this case! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p"> ).

~Wolfgang

There's only one animal around, I believe. You had to pass him to get to the enchanter's cave.

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

If you picked up the page from the church, did you notice anything odd about the wording? Maybe it means more than it says. . .

Don't go out the same way you did the last time
You'll break when you fall
Don't make the same mistakes you did all over
You've got to believe in yourself this time

Look at the piece of paper you got from the church. Or if not go there already.

First off, get out of the swamp! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p"> You don't need to go there quite yet. First, try to find Possum again. Now that it's nighttime, she should have a new quest for you to undertake.

As for getting past KQs, I'm afraid the only way is to find one on ebay or get lucky and find them in a bargain bin of some sort at a store. Sierra doesn't sell (or support) them anymore so your only chance is really a long shot.

~Wolfgang

Whereas I'm inclined to agree, Sierra has not declared them abandonware and it is therefore illegal to download them. As much as we may not like it it is still their call and the rights to the games are still theirs.

~Wolfgang

hmm maybe they should declare them freeware, why would they just destroy all that work? sounds 2 me like they need some managment skills. Selfish? maybe

Sierra's rights

#49 Post by Wolfgang Abenteuer » Sat Jan 25, 2003 10:48 am

Well, us optimistic adventure game lovers are using the fact that Sierra keeps their games under copyright and keeps the rights to them intact as a sign that they may someday return to making classic-style adventure games. An unlikely possibility, I'll admit, but there's always hope! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

~Wolfgang
