WISY outtake #1

#1 Post by TheFatherInLaw » Fri Feb 21, 2003 3:51 am

Hey, guys. I just visited QuestStudios, and I listened to the first outtake from the game. I have to say I love it!

You know, I think it would have been cool to have worked that into the game somehow. For me, the perfect place to hear it would have been the "vision" Graham has of Valanice singing when he falls from Caldaur's castle window.

While the night sky was lovely in that scene, and the music was wonderful, I feel after hearing that track that it would have been a great touch to that part of the game, especially since it is exactly as long as the words spoken in the game there.

Of course, you may have decided against this for several reasons. It could have been too much trouble to code the scene to end when the music stops, or you may have wanted to save the singing for the end credits only.

Still, great work. I love the game either way.

Well, if you liked OUT-TAKE #1, perhaps you'll also enjoy OUT-TAKE #1001 ... now available at Quest Studios.

Not bad. So, we've heard Outtake #001 and Outtake #1001, but what is Outtake #002?

Was it a piece meant for the Introduction or Ending?

Umm...no. I'm using a different numbering system with the out-take pieces. The numbers will only make sense to me.

Okay. I assumed Outtake #002 (the last piece on the Song List) was a different piece than the latest Outtake posted, since Music002 is 30 seconds long and Music1001 lasts 3:45.

Is Music1001 based on Music002? What exactly is Music002?
I see they both are from Daventry, but I'm still confused.

Please explain for the benefit of the ignorant (me).

The "0:30" second indicator is only temporary for Music002; I haven't determined the exact length I'll record as of yet. But in any event, it'll be a surprise...
