Ironically, this one's in the same place as it was in the original. It's inside a hole of a tree. The tree (not a fallen log) is fairly obvious to spot.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashl ...

Oddly enough, as far as I can tell, the hole in the tree seems to be about ten feet high, yet Graham can still reach right up and grab the mallet out of it. One of the few rather quirky things in this game.

Anyway, check the large tree right outside the town.

"May the way of the hero
lead to the Triforce."

Graham doesn't reach up from the ground and get it, he climbs the tree quicker than a speeding bullet, retrieves the mallet from the hole, then shoots back down to the ground faster than AGS can process the animation. Don't blame Graham, blame AGS... (just kidding, Chris) <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

~Wolfgang

Or maybe Graham has telekinetic powers..that would explain a lot of things about his actions (or rather, lack thereof)

Or perhaps a mutant squirrel, cousin to that creature in the haystack chucked it his way...
----------------
King illegal forest to pig wild kill in it a is!

You are all wrong. The mallet was really in his pocket the whole time. Simply clicking the hand icon there just made it visible.

----------
Sponge Factory

Uhh...? I'm confused now...the mallet just appears in your inventory, with no animation whatsoever when you get it...unless my eyes deceive me!

Click the top hole of the tree, not the bottom hole.

YYYYYY
YYYYYYYYY
YYYYYYYYY
YYYYYYYYY
YYYYYY

H1

/ H2 \

I think you are clicking on H2, but the mallet is inside H1.

Blame it on the confusing graphics, the first time I play the game I click on H2 again and again and I found no mallet. That makes me furious and frustrated . Out of luck I click on H1 and finally have the mallet.

There's no need to blame anything...If it was in H2 in your diagram, then it really wouldn't be a hiding spot would it? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">
