Dwarf's House help

So I'm stuck again. I'm trying to get poor dear Possum's soup back but can't get into the dwarf's house. the hint says to not stand in front of the door so i try being crafty and knocking on the door from far away with a stick or my sword to no help.<br><br>Help please!<br><br>Eric (and what a great game btw)<br> <p></p><i></i>

Well, perhaps I should have rephrased myself. Try not to stand in front of the door when the dwarf arrives on the other side. Thanks for your help. But I knock, it says tthere's no reply, i run behind the tree, or to the side, hide, and nothign happens..<br><br>Sorry I'm sure i'm just doing something a bit off but I can't seem to fix it.<br><br>E <p></p><i></i>

I always went to the north-east of the door. Go up and behind the tree and as far to the right at possible. The dwarf always came right out for me.
