You have a blue stone, right? Why don't you lend that one to the skull for a moment?

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashm ...

You went through a fair bit of trouble to get the stone you need. And you do have it. Make sure to click the hotspot of the stone on the right skull. Don't enter closeup view.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nasht ...

when i try to put the stone on the skull this is what comes up "throwing it away would be like discarding one of the three treasures of daventry, and i've clicked everywhere on the skull

Do you have the right skull? Are you aiming the little yellow dot on the object-cursor at the skull. Are you in close-up view? If so, get out of it.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashs ...

Are you sure you're putting the yellow dot on the cursor on the skull itself?

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashu ...
