Which version of the game?

If you're running v1.0, then you need to download the patch from the KQ2 downloads page and install it to upgrade to version1.1

I'm not sure which version.

How do I found out which version and where do I get the patch?

I downloaded the patch but

It appears to have erased all my save games for some reason so I have to start at the beginning.

Determining version of game

#6 Post by Alderem » Sat Dec 28, 2002 3:22 pm
Method #1: Look at Start->Programs->Tierra->KQ2VGA. Select "Readme". The version number is listed right there; you don't even have to start the game.

Method #2: Select the Options menu inside the game (the icon with the slider bar). Press the [ ? ] button. The version number of the game will be shown.

Patch and saved games

#7 Post by Kijyata » Tue Jan 07, 2003 2:20 pm

When I downloaded the patch, it didn't erase my saved games. Is that normal? I didn't actually try to load any of them (I just replaced them with new saved games), but I was expecting them to disappear or something, like this poster mentioned.

They don't disappear, they're just not usable anymore.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nasht ...
