MY KQ'S CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded both kq1 and kq2 VGA remakes, then i installed them, both of them with their music and/or speech packs, i installed everything nicely, but when i tried to run both games they crashed, that is, the music and SFX work fine, the initial menus work fine, i can also start the game but when the game starts it locks and i can't move anything, neither the character, neither the mouse cursor and even the ctrl+alt+end or ctrl+alt+del "options" don't work, i have to restart my computer "manually".<br>What's wrong? <br>Thanks<br> <p></p><i></i>

That's strange. Perhaps you could provide a little more information about your system. Also, be sure that you're not trying to run the games in the highest colour resolution. Try 320x200 first and if that doesn't work, then go to 640x400 mode. 960x600 mode is still a bit experimental for AGS and isn't a supported resolution, so don't try running it in that mode unless the other two don't work <!--EZCODE ITALIC START--><em>at all</em><!--EZCODE ITALIC END-->.<br><br>~Wolfgang <p></p><i></i>

Try this, it worked on my machine (same specs as yours, except running windows XP):<br><br>Change the cache memory from 5mb to 20mb (or to 10 if you're skittish). Do this from the same dialog window where you change resolution.
