#1 Post by Evan » Sun Jul 27, 2003 10:16 pm

I'm totally fed up with that stupid condor. I'm way too damn slow for the bird to catch me. I've given up. Can you provide a downloaded game, so I can play KQVGA after the bird picks me up? Pwease help me!

There's actually a trick to the condor in KQ1VGA. There is a rock in the middle of that screen. Just to the upper-right corner of that rock there's a small red "X" on the ground (look carefully as it looks like part of the background). That's the basic area in which you need to stand for the condor to pick you up. Walk to that area, switch to the hand icon, wait for the condor to get close to you, then click the hand on the bird. With luck, you'll grab onto the condor and fly away.

~Wolfgang

Can you email me instruction for where to put the saved game on my computer after the download? The condor is just way too fast on my Athalon XP 2400 + computer with 256 megs of RAM. If I pgrade RAM to 512 megs, the bird will be all the more faster and harder to catch. Thanks for the saved games. The condor really frustrated me. If you aslk me I think version 3.0 of KQVGA should eliminate the condor situation. I think it's a bug of sorts.

Increasing RAM probably won't have a significant impact on speed of anything.

And to the best of my knowledge, there are no speed bugs in KQ1VGA. It's speed-regulated, so the condor would fly only as fast as it's supposed to fly, regardless of how fast the computer is. The speed slider in the control panel might slow it down, though.
