KQ1VGA Speech and music gurgling......

Hey there, had a question....whenever I play KQ1VGA, the both the speech and the music somehow get a gurgling, underwater type sound from them at random points. Sometimes it happens right when the title screen (save game, etc) comes up, and other times its a little while into playing. This has happened on all the resolutions, though the smallest tends to be less severe and for a shorter time period. I have installed the newest version of DirectX, and have the latest audio drivers available (SB Audigy). Any ideas? Other than that, I gotta say the game is awesome when this problem isn't happening!<br><br>Rock on,<br>Eric <p></p><i></i>

I guess it could be an issue with an earlier version of the game engine we used to make KQ1VGA in 2001. A new version will be released soon which uses the latest AGS engine, so that should solve the problem. I use an SB Audigy to, and have never had such a problem, though.<br><br>Out of curiosity, have you also downloaded KQ2VGA and tried playing that? And if so, does the same thing happen? <p></p><i></i>

Hey there again, sorry for the delay in getting back to you......I tried KQ2VGA and found I had no problems at all, so hopefully the 3.0 release will fix this problem....BTW, I love the new installation and especially the more detailed options setup for KQ2VGA!
