King's Quest II problem

#1 Post by innocentdarkside » Sun Feb 01, 2004 12:00 am

Halo. I need to some help with King's Quest II game and how it is running on my computer.

Whenever I have the game run in full screen, the top fourth of the screen is cut off at the top and it instead placed on the bottom of the screen. For example: if the word LOST was a vertical word in the game, it looks like this:
O
S
T
L

And when I try to run the game in a window, the window is REALLY small. I mean, really small. Help?

Mark

Most likely a problem with your graphics card, graphics driver and/or DirectX. For windowed, try playing in a different(=higher) resolution. For fullscreen, or if that runs too slow, try activating letterbox mode and play at 320x200 (becomes 320x240 with letterbox).
Pidgeot
-----
Every error you find is the last one.

That usually means that your monitor is trying to display mode it does not support very well (odd refresh rate probably).

You might be able to fix it by manipulating the monitor vertical picture size controls (usually on the front of your monitor) - reducing it. Or by setting new refresh rate through Windows "Advanced Display Properties" panel.

Good luck! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /alien.gif ALT="0]">
