Well, there's actually an "easier" solution, that is using your sword on him. (Yes, you can do that, poor lion! :p) And I think it's better to let people find out on their own. Those who like perfect scores will come back later and ask for help on missed points anyway! actually you have got that wrong killing the lion would b foolish and thats not the way to get top points, all u have to do is hold your emerald on the lions tail and he will transform in to a man, yes i said MAN and that is how i know that lion is a male and that is what i ment by giving u that clue i was trying not to give it away so easialy but oh well! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p">

However, the point was that feeding the lion isn't the obvious solution that everyone used. The first time I played, I didn't even have the food (and instead used the best solution). There is also a fourth way to get past.

God there is no need to gang up on me and try and belittle me i only left that post 2 help others if they wanted it cuz i know when i was playing the game i would of loved some messages left on here that would help me, so i think u got the wrong idea and maybe thought i thought i new it all and that not what im trying to do at all i just wanted to help out sorry to of offended u

*Obvious spoilers below* You can... -Kill the lion with the sword -Give him the ham to make him fall asleep -Disenchant him with the emerald -(Never tried this one but I heard it works) Try the same tactic you did with the creature guarding the mountain cave... Heh, I realized a bit late that I forgot the meat, so option 4 is the first thing I ended up doing. I used the meat the first two times I got there. Since that was the best solution in the original, I just assumed it was the best solution here as well. Yes, indeed. I was hoping that they would get rid of the fish puzzle, though. That to me was one of the least logical puzzles in the game. I mean, after trying repeatedly to catch this fish, the next thing to do is throw it back in. Why would I do that? Yeah, I know both solutions. The second one actually seems more logical to me. If I hadn't already known what I was supposed to do, it would have been easier to figure that one out, especially since it was the solution that was hinted at earlier. Possible SPOILERS Isn't there an old story about a kind, starving fisherman who is rewarded by a golden fish for catching and releasing it? But maybe I'm imagining things. I think that is the source of the fish in KQ2. The benefit of "catch and release" actually occurs in many stories, and is present in the KQ series in the form of KQ5's elf... And congrats on the status, Knight!
