a few more questions for erpy(sorry)

#1 Post by bartonjo2 » Thu Nov 27, 2003 5:38 am

1. How many hours a day are you online
2. What makes it possible for you to do that
3. I got the growth gem but now I cant find possum (I have talked to her granny and i have explored the whole map minus the swamp and have gotten the paper out of the bible) i have needle too
4. Also when people talk about timing in the game (ie tierra needing to retime the game if they fix a bug) what is meant by this?
5. How did you get to be a moderator?
thanks

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... rtonjo2 at: 11/27/03 12:04 am

Heh, maybe I'll answer some. Cause I'm in the final hours of finishing term papers and I so don't want to do any work <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p">

1. Many of the Tierra team are online many hours a day. Erpy and I and Wolfgang and others probably more than the AGDs, since the AGDs are busy of course making the games.

2. Well, some of the Tierra team are at school... myself, it means when I have a break between classes even I drop by on the forums. It also means a lot of evenings and other free time (even checking the forums when you first get up in the morning).

5. Erpy got to be a moderator by *a lot* of dedication and hard work of being helpful to others on these forums.

2. I work during the day and I pop on whenever I can, but at home I'm on most of the time.

3. Judging by your other thread, it would appear that you've passed this point, so I guess you need no reply. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

4. Some parts of the game have different elements working together. Namely, any part where there is a cutscene, or speech along with background music, and any time that an animation is working in conjunction with any of those. So, in other words, a LOT of things in the game are considered "timed". If, for example, you change something in someone's dialogue which is timed with the music and by doing so you cut the time of the dialogue by two seconds, then the music will finish two seconds too late. The scene will then be out of sync with the music and it would look really awkward.

~Wolfgang

I'm online fairly often. Like Relight said, I have internet access at school and I also check the forums a lot before and after school. (it's 6:40 here now, yawn)

I was asked if I wanted to become a moderator by AGD2, since I was already answering lots of questions by people and trying to be as helpful as possible. That, in the end, got me official status.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashn ...

Wow! And all this time I thought you just came with the Message Board... Open an E-Z Board account, get a free Erpy to run it. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":b">

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... forums>Tom Lewandowski at: 11/27/03 7:40 am

Awww...you weren't supposed to let the cat out of the bag yet. Yes, Tom's right. I don't really exist. In reality, I'm one of the most sophisticated webbots on the internet, designed to run communities while secretly searching for personal info and other marketable information to sell to multinationals. The phone calls? Tests in order to see if the phone numbers were correct.

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashe ...

Hehe..."Royal Servant Status" which, ironically, you achieved by asking that question. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

~Wolfgang

Edited by: <A HREF=http://pub57.ezboard.com/broyalquestfor ... s>Wolfgang Abenteuer at: 11/27/03 6:56 pm

My country, the Netherlands, is surrounded by France, Germany and Denmark. But not assimilated yet. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashn ...

Quote:
My country, the Netherlands, is surrounded by France, Germany and Denmark.

I never knew my country surronded the Netherlands <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p"> ...

Of course, it depends on how you define "surround". But as far as I can tell from the map, Germany is in between, no matter which way you look at it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... tongue.gif ALT=":p">
Pidgeot
-----
Every error you find is the last one.

In this case you should define "surround" in a way as broad as the piece of German land between the Netherlands and Germany. (the same is true for France; you can't get there without going through Belgium)

<img src="http://httpd.chello.nl/c.vanempel/Nashl ...
