ADGI isn't making it for you, they're making for them.  They're just nice enough to let you play it.
And you're arrogant enough to be flamed, but I'll hold my tongue.

By that logic, Vivendi's nice enough to let them make it to let us play it. Yeah, right.

Wow, what a bizarre thread. The first thing that springs to mind is, I'm overwhelmed. I've been very critical of the AGDI's (and other associates, eg Erpy) in the past (for various things, and on forums noone that visits this place has probably ever been to, so I won't bother rehashing that). As muc...

Awesome. I haven't downloaded it yet, but this kind of stuff always really makes me laugh. Not enough of it in the Sierra community.

Come on guys, it's the 'hooter shooter'. :) Anyways. I don't see how no dead ends is a bad thing. No dying, maybe, but no dead ends? Sounds good to me. And, I thought you had to take it! How bizarre, I never knew that. I wonder what the heck does happen. As meastro said, the ending is probably the s...

Well, I don't see why it's not abandonware. :) If that's not, then KQ isn't, etc..

Anyways, it's an excellent game. I strongly recommend you finish it, Josh Mandel's a genius.

It's not that bloody technical, people just think it is and get put off. Solving Sierra bugs is the easiest thing in the world. Here's the logic. Sierra games were made for 486's, roughly. We try to play them on XP, which have much faster processors (at least a GHz). DOSBOX emulates the NT DOS envir...

But this is not so bad, since now we'll enjoy the new QG2VGA by the fantastic AGDI team, which is probably gonna be greater than any version Sierra would have made back then, so let's thanks the Williams for not giving so many resources to QFG. I was in agreement with you up until then. :) Good pos...

Wow! Awesome story. :) I'd forgotten all about KQ2 original, since obviously the last KQ2 I played was in VGA. :) Yeah, I remember Lori telling me she always resented Roberta basically getting priority of resources. And IMO, QFG is a better series than KQ, more to it, so I can understand where Lori'...

What an odd thread. Then again, all the other Icelanders I know in the community are equally eccentric :)

Nice work on the LSL3VGA effort, Fribbi- did you keep the music the same as the original, or is there no sound?

Yeah, you could cut the tensions between those two ladies with a knife. :P Would that we were there to see the machinations of the Sierra relationships, eh Erpy? :) A well, a fan can dream.

Paladinlover: AGD's like Ken and the Coles, etc? That's a fairly long bow to draw, man. Last I remember, Ken Williams had a brash, outgoing personality (as opposed to the AGD's, not that we'd ever know of course), and the Coles and the Williams even between themselves have/had a LOT of differences. ...

If not if not, then.. I'd start over.

I've seen all of those early Daleks ones. Loved 'em- I remember seeing the first look at the Daleks with the Hartnell story about the future being ravaged, and that made me fall in love with the concept (I'm a big sucker for future disaster stories). Never seen a Baker ep. I saw Dr Who through ABC's...

That's true, I forgot Hartnell had minimal influence in most episodes. Yeah, you're right. A lot of people say they liked McCoy, and I actually like him too- but some of the episodes were shit! It wasn't long ago that ABC were screening them (4 months ago) and "fan classics" like "The...

Heh. Brisbane, huh? I'm from Adelaide. And, I don't mean purist in a "William Hartnell only!" or "Tom Baker was the best by far" sense. I actually enjoyed the Pertwee years the most. I just mean, I prefer how it was done in the old days as opposed to the new series, which I felt ...

QFG4 with VDMS suffers from slow MIDI music, so I'd recommend DOSBOX in this case. THe combat problem mentioned earlier is almost definitely an audio one. I'd need to see a resource.cfg file, to hear what his/her sound card was in XP, and to ask if they got the 'unable to initialise audio hardware' ...

I think the Narnia movie led a resurgence in Christians (especially US Christians) trying to use it as propaganda, although like you guys, I vehemently disagree that it was. Doctor Who is freakin' awesome. Basically though, being a DW purist, I didnt like much after Peter Davison. Couldn't the 'new series'. Hope Tennant is better than Eccelston. Though, I hope more that Russell T Davies gets hit by a car.
